How the Crack Chasing and Cutting Cover Plate Works
The crack chasing and cutting system has dual utility. It is a dust collection system and it can also serve as a guide for a more accurate depth of cut when crack chasing or cutting. Using the Dust Muzzle and cover plate as a guide, the operator can adjust the depth of cut by trimming the Dust Muzzle and cover plate to reveal the amount of blade necessary for the cut required.

The 5" cover plate comes pre trimmed to give a 3/8" depth of cut when used with a 4 1/2" cutting blade. If a deeper cut is needed, the operator can either use a 5" blade or he can trim the Dust Muzzle and the cover plate to reveal more of the blade.

The 7" cover plate comes pre trimmed to give a 1" depth of cut when using a 7" cutting blade. The operator can trim the original Dust Muzzle and the cover plate further to reveal more of the blade.


Applications
The Dust Muzzle system for crack chasing and cutting is excellent for crack chasing concrete and cutting fiberglass, concrete, plastics and other materials that make toxic dusts
